Electronics is a manufacturer of Motor Drives, Automation
Controls & Fan Speed Controls.
Problem:

Customers are located globally requiring
24/7 customer service and assistance locating
a Distributor and a KB representative. |

The list is updated frequently. |
| 3. |
Customers require copies of technical
notes that are updated frequently. |
| 4. |
Technical notes are "somewhat" proprietary
and KB needs to track who is downloading them. |
Solution:
For KB Electronics to remain competitive
in their industry they needed to provide an on-line solution
to meet their customer's needs WHILE maintaing in-house
control to update the program and database contents on
the fly.
We created a program using PHP and MySql technology that
allows users to search for a either a Distributor or Representative
either by name or geographically.
The program also allows the user to optionally locate
"stocking" distributors only.
We then created an additional User Registration/Log-in
program that integrates the 2 programs in the administration
section.
Users must register to gain access to the technical notes.
The user's password is generated by the program and e-mailed
to the user to ensure the user has registered with a valid
e-mail address.
This program also includes a comprehensive, password
protected administration area that allows KB to perform
the following functions:

Add, modify or delete any distributors
or representatives records in the database. |

Export a copy of the MySql database
in Excel format. |
| 3. |
Ability to add/modify/delete or suspend
users access. |
| 4. |
View access log files containing
user name, date and files accessed. |
